Founded in 1913 by Sir Barry Jackson, the REP’s mission has always been to produce excellent theatrical experiences, to entertain, enlighten and engage audiences and, wherever possible, reflect the diversity of Birmingham and the surrounding region.
Their aim is to ‘Inspire the city of Birmingham to a lifelong love of theatre’.
We were tasked to create bespoke artwork and marketing material to depict the scheduled shows billed at the theatre.
As many of the shows were ‘one-offs’, there was little or no supporting promotional material provided, so we were challenged with creating the essence of each show within the marketing collateral.
This involved reading the script, drawing up roughs and then creating original artwork/photography to help sell the show to the public.
We produced posters, leaflets, booklets, magazine ads and other promotional items, as well as playing an active part in the creation of the content for public tours and display material.
